STC Library
The Library offers Minnesota families and professionals the opportunity to preview educational and disability-specific software and assistive technology devices for children and young adults. Stop in to receive hands-on assistance and preview the Simon Technology Center's array of Assistive Technology!
Parents and professionals who wish to borrow items from the Library must read the policies, then complete and submit the application form below with the annual membership fee. Memberships for a family or consumer with a disability are $50.00 per year. Professionals such as educators, service providers, or therapists, will be required to pay $100.00 per year for membership to the Library.

Online Library Catalog
The STC's new online catalog, the A.T. Finder, allows you to search over 2,000 items currently available for loan. Categories include software for reading, writing, math, science, independent living skills, keyboarding, and other academic areas. Assistive technology devices and hardware for loan include touch screens, switches, alternative keyboards, trackballs, and augmentative communication devices.
Items available for loan are listed with complete descriptions and images. Members may also request items via e-mail. Please e-mail the title and id number of up to three items you would like to request to stclibrary@pacer.org.
STC Library Item Evaluation
The PACER Simon Technology Center wants to serve you better by providing a collection of reviews from people like you, parents and professionals. Your input is important! Please complete the online Item Evaluation to share your input. Input from these evaluations are viewable on the Online Library Catalog.
NEWEST ADDITIONS TO THE STC
New software and hardware are added to the STC Library on a quarterly basis. The Newest Additions to the STC link lists the new, upgraded, and additional software and hardware added to the Library during the listed quarter. Some new items may not be available for loan and are listed as an In House item. In House items may be viewed in the Library during open Library hours.
Assistive Technology Purchase Request Form
You can use this form if you would like the library to purchase a specific piece of assistive technology and have it added to the lending library inventory. This request does not guarantee that the item will be purchased. After your request is received, it will be added to a wish-list.
Assistive Technology Provided by the MN STAR Program
The STC has partnered with the Minnesota STAR Program to provide exciting, new assistive technology for loan. The Assistive Technology Provided by the MN STAR Program link lists the assistive technology that is available through this partnership. The listed technology is available for loan at no cost to the borrower, but a STC Library membership is required.
STC Library iOS App List - updated 2/15/2012
This link will display the list of all iOS apps that the STC has purchased or downloaded to the STC Library account. iPads or iPod Touches are loaned out with only a select portion of this list preloaded on the device. When borrowing a device, you may ask library staff to customize the list of apps loaded on the device; please tell the library staff which specific apps you would like from the STC Library iOS App List. To borrow an app, you must borrow an iPad or iPod Touch; we are not able to load apps from the STC Library account onto personal iOS devices.
