PACER Center workshop addresses childhood bullying
PACER Center is offering “Is Your Child a Target of Bullying,” a free workshop for parents of children with disabilities who are targets of bullying. It is on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2009, from 7 to 9 p.m., at PACER Center, 8161 Normandale Blvd., Bloomington, Minn. Advance registration is requested.
Participants will learn how to:- Identify types of bullying
- Develop strategies to prevent bullying
- Identify responses to bullying
- Talk to their child about bullying
- Obtain help from professionals
- Find out about disability harassment laws
