PACER Center workshop focuses on understanding Individualized Education Programs
PACER Center is offering “IDEA: Understanding the Individualized Education Program (IEP),” a free workshop for parents of children with disabilities and for professionals. It is on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., at Central Lakes College, Business and Industry Center, 501 W. College Dr., Brainerd, Minn. Advance registration is requested.
Participants will learn about:
- IEP requirements
- Overview of evaluation
- Team planning
- Writing measurable IEP goals
- Adaptations
- Implementation
- Methods for resolving disagreements
Each participant will receive a special education record-keeping folder.
