PACER workshop explores charter schools
PACER Center is offering “Exploring Charter Schools,” a free workshop for parents of children with disabilities. It is on Thursday, March 25, 2010, from 7 to 9 p.m., at PACER Center, 8161 Normandale Blvd., Bloomington, Minn. Advance registration is requested.
This interactive workshop will help parents of children with disabilities explore considerations when choosing a charter school. Topics include:
- Structure of charter schools
- Understanding the mission of a charter school
- Parent rights and responsibilities at charter schools
- What the data says about charter schools in Minnesota
- Further information and resources
