PACER Center workshop addresses transition for young children with disabilities
PACER Center is offering “Everything You Need to Learn Before Your Child Turns 3,” a free workshop for parents of young children with disabilities. It is on Tuesday, April 20, 2010, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at PACER Center, 8161 Normandale Blvd., Bloomington, Minn. Advance registration is requested.

This free workshop will help parents understand the important aspects of transitioning from Part C to Part B services.
Participants will learn about:
- The different criteria for Part C and Part B services
- The transition from Part C to Part B services
- Natural environments and least restrictive environments
- Community-based options for services to support inclusion
- Families’ rights within the special education process
- The importance of writing measurable goals and objectives
