PACER Center workshop addresses childhood bullying
PACER Center is offering “Is Your Child a Target of Bullying,” a free workshop for parents of children with disabilities who may be targets of bullying. It is on Monday, April 19, 2010, from 7 to 9 p.m., at Ottertail Power Community Room, 216 Cascade St. S., Fergus Falls, Minn. Advance registration is requested.
Participants will learn how to:
- Identify types of bullying
- Develop strategies to prevent bullying
- Identify responses to bullying
- Talk to their child about bullying
- Obtain help from professionals
- Find out about disability harassment laws
