PACER Center offers technology workshop for girls with disabilities

PACER Center is offering “Technology for Girls: Puppy Palace,” a free workshop for middle school girls with disabilities. It is on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011, from 6 to 8 p.m., at PACER Center, 8161 Normandale Blvd., Bloomington, Minn. Advance registration is required.

Girls will use creativity, project management, and planning skills to construct a doghouse out of paper following a family’s special requests. They will also learn important skills needed for completing homework and projects for school.

This workshop is sponsored in part by IBM, and IBM volunteers will serve as mentors and lead activities.

To register, call PACER at 952-838-9000. In Greater Minnesota, call 800-537-2237 (toll free) or visit PACER.org.
