PACER offers workshop on accessible instructional materials
PACER Center is offering “Accessible Instructional Materials,” a free workshop for parents of children with disabilities and for professionals. It is Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011, from 9 to 11 a.m., at South Central Service Cooperative Conference Center, 2075 Lookout Dr., North Mankato, Minn. Advance registration is required, as space is limited.
This workshop addresses:
- How to identify students who would benefit from the use of accessible reading materials (braille, large print, audio, and/or digital text) in place of traditional reading methods
- How to acquire accessible instructional materials from a variety of sources
