PACER workshop addresses independent living for youth with disabilities
PACER Center is offering “Creating Your Independent Living Plan,” a free workshop for parents of teenagers and young adults with disabilities. It is on Monday, Feb. 13, 2012, from 7 to 9 p.m., at PACER Center, 8161 Normandale Blvd., Bloomington, Minn. Advance registration is requested.
This workshop will provide an opportunity for families to learn about the person-centered planning process and begin to create their son or daughter’s independent housing plan. The workshop is the first of a three-part housing workshop series that will also include “Housing Eligibility and Funding” on Feb. 27, and “Creative Housing and Services Options” on March 12.
To register for any of the three workshops, call PACER at 952-838-9000. In Greater Minnesota, call 800-537-2237 (toll free) or visit PACER.org.
