Jason Matheson will emcee PACER’s Run, Walk, Roll Against Bullying Oct. 1 in Bloomington

Minneapolis: PACER Center is pleased to announce that Jason Matheson, host of “The Jason Show” on Fox 9 and co-host of “The Jason & Alexis Show” on MyTalk 107.1, will serve as the celebrity emcee of Friends of PACER’s seventh annual Run, Walk, Roll Against Bullying, presented by the Minnesota Association of Professional Employees (MAPE).

This family-friendly eventwill take place on Saturday, Oct. 1 at Mount Normandale Lake Park in Bloomington. It will kick off National Bullying Prevention Month, which was founded by PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center in 2006.

Beginning at 10 a.m., participants can choose a four-mile chip-timed run or a two-mile walk or roll (for wheelchairs or strollers). The event is a unique opportunity for adults and students to help raise awareness and funds to support bullying prevention.

A post-race ceremony will feature speakers, live entertainment, and a variety of prizes. Family activities will be ongoing throughout the event, including a Crayola coloring station, face painting, photo booth, and the opportunity to meet 14-year-old race car driver Mandy Chick.

Check-in and onsite registration begins at 9 a.m.; run and walk/roll begins at 10 a.m.
