ALLIANCE Overview

ALLIANCE logoThe Technical Assistance ALLIANCE for Parent Centers (the ALLIANCE) provides technical assistance to more than 100 Parent Centers funded under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). PACER Center is the ALLIANCE National Technical Assistance Center and works with six regional centers across the country as a unified technical assistance system.

The ALLIANCE helps Parent Centers by offering innovative technical assistance, up-to-date information, and high-quality resources and materials. The ALLIANCE National Center supports Parent Centers through standardized publications, national conferences and institutes, and management and nonprofit expertise.

Parent Centers – Parent Training and Information Centers and Community Parent Resource Centers – provide training and information to families of the nation’s 7 million children with disabilities. They serve families of children of all ages and all disabilities. Parent Centers provide one-on-one support and assistance, workshops, and publications. There is at least one Parent Center in every state.
