2008, Third Annual National Bullying Prevention Awareness Week Calls on Schools to Unite

The Third Annual National Bullying Prevention Awareness Week is cosponsored by the American Federation for Teachers, www.aft.org National Coalition for Parent Involvement in Education, www.ncpie.org, National Education Association, www.nea.org, National PTA, www.pta.org and School Social Work Association of America. www.sswaa.org

The cosponsors join the PACER’s National Center for Bullying Prevention in efforts to increase community awareness about the prevalence and impact of bullying on our nation’s children and adolescents. Through heightened awareness the sponsors hope to offer strategies to reduce bullying in homes, schools, recreational programs, religious institutions and community organizations.

PACER's National Center for Bullying Prevention promotes bullying awareness, teaches effective ways to respond to bullying, and prevents bullying of all children, including those with disabilities.
