2009, Fourth Annual National Bullying Prevention Awareness Week Calls on Schools to Unite

The Fourth Annual National Bullying Prevention Awareness Week is cosponsored by the American Federation for Teachers, www.aft.org National Coalition for Parent Involvement in Education, www.ncpie.org, National Education Association, www.nea.org, and School Social Work Association of America. www.sswaa.org

The cosponsors join the PACER’s National Center for Bullying Prevention in efforts to increase community awareness about the prevalence and impact of bullying on our nation’s children and adolescents. Through heightened awareness the sponsors hope to offer strategies to reduce bullying in homes, schools, recreational programs, religious institutions and community organizations.

PACER Center’s Bullying Prevention Project unites, engages, and educates communities nationwide to prevent bullying through creative, relevant, and interactive resources.
