Housing Challenge Grant

The Beverly Foundation has given PACER a CHALLENGE GRANT for $20,000 to support PACER’s Housing Project. We NEED YOUR HELP to MATCH this amount!

Imagine you are a parent of a teen with significant disabilities:

  • “Where will my child live as a young adult?”
  • “Where will my child live if something happens to me?”
  • Where would you turn for help to find the answers?

PACER’s Housing Project can help! The Housing Project helps parents and students address these questions through workshops, an information fair, a resource guide and through information on PACER’s web site.

The potential contribution of $40,000 will help fund the Housing Project, which provides information and assistance to families of children with disabilities who are struggling to find affordable, accessible housing.

There is a demonstrated need for the Housing Project. Last year PACER advocates answered more than 855 requests for information and assistance about housing for young adults with disabilities and hosted 366 people at workshops and the Housing Open House. There were 6,462 visits to the Web site.

Children with Disabilities need you to be their Champion!
