Deandra's Story (as seen on the back of the card):
Deandra, now 11, has been involved with PACER Center since she was 18 months old. PACER’s Simon Technology Center introduced the toddler to assistive technology and computers and Deandra took off. With the ability to believe in herself, she has become a scholar and an athlete. She is in advanced placement classes and on the “A” honor roll at school. She travels the USA for tournaments with her power-wheelchair soccer and bocce teams. Deandra is currently in leadership training to learn how to advocate for herself and others with disabilities. She has visited and plans to attend the University of Minnesota. In her spare time she likes to draw and paint.
