Hosted by the Society for Child Development, Disability India Network is a comprehensive site for information related to disability in India. The Web site has contact information of manufacturers and suppliers of aids and appliances for persons with hearing impairments, visual impairments, and physical impairments. Acts pertaining to disability such as the Person’s with Disabilities Act, the National Trust Act, the RCI Act and the Mental Health Act can be downloaded. Articles on issues around inclusion and other issues pertaining to special education in India can be downloaded from the Disability India Journal as well as from their online library. The Web site also provides information on government services, facilities and benefits, financial assistance and registration of societies. Also available are a discussion forum and an organization search in different states in India.
