Workshops
Are you a parent looking for more information on how to help your child learn at home? Is your school or organization thinking of organizing a presentation on parent involvement? Are you considering a staff in-service or an information session for parents? If you are looking for a presenter on the topic of parent involvement, the Minnesota Parent Center may be able to help.
Workshops are free and can be scheduled at various times and locations. MPC also offers presentations and in-services on topics such as the No Child Left Behind Act, parental involvement, and more.

Achievement-focused Family Engagement: A school improvement strategy

Achievement-focused family engagement can increase academic achievement and school success for all students. This training is specifically designed to refocus and enhance existing parent involvement programs at districts and Title I schools, especially those in program improvement. Participants will learn the newest research-based strategies to help schools engage all families to work as partners that help students learn. This training includes fun, hands-on activities, group discussion and individual technical assistance addressing the needs particular to your school.
