My Child Is on a Section 504 Plan
The Discipline is:
an out-of-school suspension* for fewer than a total of 10 school days when combined with other out-of-school suspensions this school year.
Response:
There are no restrictions on out-of-school suspensions or bus suspensions that total fewer than 10 school days* per school year.
Tip: You may which wish to request a Section 504 team meeting to determine if the Section 504 Plan* is adequate for your child’s needs or if your child requires a Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP)*. You also may wish to make a written request for an evaluation for special education to determine if your child is eligible for special education and related services.
