I Care Because

Bullying is nothing but fear.

Marianna, 12, BR

I was bullied this yer and still am every now and then. It stinks and I don't like it. I want to talk to someone and get help and discuss how I can get some help. I'm too afraid to tell my parents because they won't believe me or they will say something else. I just want to cry when it happens. What should I do and where can I get help?

Britney, 15, South Dakota

I've never been badly bullied, but I am/have been picked on. I was teased a little by a few people 2 years ago. Now this year, it's gotten worse. I don't say anything, but my friend gets it. He will tell them to stop, and others tell me to ignore it. But it's hard. This week was extremely bad. I got called alot of names, in the class, where everyone could hear. They stuck up for me though, and I care because if people don't have others that will stick up for them, it's really hard. When I was being picked on 2 years ago, nobody stood up for me, it can make people feel so alone. So, that's why I care.

At night while the others slept, we kept walking the tightrope, it was practice and yeah some of us fell. But I want to tell them that all of this is just debris of when we finally decide to smash what we thought we used to be. If you can’t find anything beautiful about yourself, get a better mirror, look a little closer, STARE a little longer, because there is something inside of you that made you keep trying.
-Shane Koyczan (To This Day, a message to the bullied and the beautiful)

Keep trying no matter how much they push you down.

I had bullying. and i think i can make a difference. we need a better world to live.

Grazzy, 14, BR

I was once bullied for a very long time. Especially between the grades 4th-6th. It was a living hell. And that's why I'm standing up for kids around the world that are going/went through things like what I went through. I want every person around to world to be happy. That's why I choose to take a stand.
