I Care Because

i have been bully almost all thorough sixth grade and i want it to stop no more bullying

Kaitlyn, 12, North Carolina

bullying is never, EVER acceptable. I came to a point where people would constantly call me fat in school, and even my family at home. I became bulimic and have been for 5 months now. I just want everyone to know that simple words can hurt people and affect their lives drastically. Bullying and teasing has to stop.

bullying is hurtful, it hurts our self-esteem and our sense of belonging to a community or group. It is cruel, unproductive for all involved and maddening. It's been going on forever but it has to change as women's right to vote became a reality, as children's right did too, or as animal cruelty became a punishable crime. Living in a society where bullying is prohibited could change things from its core. Maybe one day in less than 100 years who knows, we will be able to live a life in which compassion is the most valuable human quality.

i've have been bullied alot and still do, there's all these people who say mean things to me and give me looks when i walk past. This one typical girl pushed me out of my chair and then smiled. Also boys are very mean and agressive but thats just typical boys! I like to stay strong because i know if i do i'll actually get somewhere in life and the people who think they're so cool won't. I care because i know bullying is a terrible thing and we should just stay strong and say NO! to it, Don't give up you're still worth it!

I care because I have had personal experiences with bullying. It's not right to put someone down just to bring you to the illusion that you are better than them. I hope that those who bully will eventually realize tat what they are doing is wrong.

Michelle, 14, Arkansas

I was bullied for most of my life. And it has a lasting affect on me I am working with my therapist to help forget some of my memory's of bullying not just from other kids but even some grown ups picked on me. I became a lone wolf and did not make friends until recently because I was afraid of other kids. Now I'm righting a Noval and getting high grades. I hope this stops.:( from h.s
