I Care Because

Bullied target me since 6th grade to now. One same person, that person would never leave me alone, so I know how it felt... I care because I through it.

You never know the full extent of bullying and name calling. the worst part is those who put on a mask and pretend it doesnt get to them usally start thinking of themselfs as crap. Some of these teens and adults dont think they can stand to look in the mirror and see their own face one more day and it leads to suicide. Think twice before you bully and report any cases of bulling to an adult.

errrr. i knew an awesome girl... she was bullied because of horrible rumores. she saw only one wy out,,, I am against bullying

sara, 15, ca

it sucks to be bullied and get made fun of. Everyone is unique in their own very special way. Its just unfair for those who are different to be bullied and labeled. They are who they are and its not nice to label people. I don't really get bullied but i hate it when people bully others and sometimes i wish that i could do something to make a difference.

I think bullying matters because alot of kids think it is funny to hurt others but it does not just hurt others it can cause alot more then that! If we can all work together bullying can end!

...but at the same time I want (bullying things about me) to be keep as a secret...james not my real name by the way
..I'm not living in uk

james, 16, uk

My son was bullied for years until he had given up all hope, and was thinking of harming himself or others. This is unacceptable, our children should not have to endure this pain!

Jennifer, 36, Arkansas

Bullying doesn't go away. Even if the bully stops, the words or comments or bruises will never heal. They leave scars that no amount of scar cream will erase. It's not a passing phase or right of passage. Nobody should ever go to school and feel like they're not loved and appreciated. The hardest part for me to comprehend is that bullying IS entirely preventable. So think before you and your friends leave that mean comment, or send that anonymous text, or tell that boy in the hallway he's worthless, or shoving the girl who's dating your best friend's crush into the locker. Just think about what you're about to do to that person and the scars you'll be leaving behind. Just THINK.
