Laws

Importance of Laws

  • Laws bring order and consistency in society.
  • They are methods of ensuring impartial treatment of people and organizations.
  • Laws empower us as citizens granting us rights and privileges. For example, the right to vote empowers us to decide who we want to represent us in Parliament.
  • Laws give us equal access to public schools, transportation, housing, and other public facilities.
  • Laws protect public interests. If laws are not written, public interest cannot be protected.
