Role Summary: The Marketing and Outreach Coordinator is a key member of PACER’s dedicated marketing and communications team. This role supports the organization’s visibility, engagement, and impact through effective communication and community outreach. The position is responsible for managing the social media calendar, coordinating and posting content, marketing and coordinating workshops and trainings, and representing PACER at community events. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, outgoing, creative, and passionate about PACER’s mission.
Responsibilities and Roles
- Understand and help promote the mission, vision, values, and goals of the organization both internally and externally
- Work as an integral part of the marketing and communications team to coordinate and maintain the organization’s social media calendar across platforms
- Track social media engagement and performance metrics to share with the marketing and communications team to help inform strategy
- Serve as the social media listener; monitoring and responding to comments
- Schedule and coordinate logistics for workshops, trainings, and related events
- Represent the organization at community outreach events, tabling, or general presentations
- Effectively communicate with colleagues in other departments to stay informed of services and initiatives that should be included in the social media calendar
- Work closely with the Marketing and Communications Manager to align messaging with broader strategies
- Support the marketing and communications team with other activities as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Experience with social media platforms, coordination, and content creation
- Confident, compassionate, inclusive, and approachable in community-facing roles
- Experience working in Microsoft Office 365 programs
- Flexibility to attend occasional evening or weekend events
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team, and independently
Preferred Background and Experience
- College degree in marketing, communications, related field, or equivalent experience a plus
- Proficient with or willing to learn tools like Canva, Constant Contact, and Adobe Creative Cloud
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods working on a computer
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs.
- Ability to provide own transportation and flexibility to travel
