PACER Center to host Housing Series for young adults with disabilities
Are you ready for your young adult with disabilities to move to a place of their own? There are a variety of housing options and supports available for adults with disabilities, however, finding the best placement for your child can be a complex process. PACER’s virtual three-part Housing Workshop Series will present (ages 14-26) with an overview of housing options, explain how they are funded, and share real-life stories from parents and young adults about their own housing journey.
Creating the vision

This workshop will present a broad overview of person-centered planning, housing, and service options. Parents will learn how they can help their young adults to create a vision for the future as they begin their journey of exploring housing options.
Creating structure through financial and staff support
Monday, March 10, 2025
6:30 — 8 p.m.
This workshop will present examples of how housing, individual services, and supports are funded through federal, state, and county resources. Parents will learn about how their young adults may become eligible for and use public programs to support their housing vision.
Stories from families and young adults
Monday, March 17, 2025
6:30 — 8 p.m.
This workshop will feature a more detailed explanation of individualized housing and service options from a panel of parents, young adults, and housing providers who will share their own journeys through the process.

Attendance at each workshop in the series is recommended. Completing registration will grant access to all three workshops in this series.
