Read Paula's Story

PACER’s board and staff invite you to share a tribute or favorite memory.

On behalf of Gamma Sigma Sigma National Service Sorority and Twin Cities Alums we wish to express our sincerest sympathies in the loss of this great woman. She will truly missed. We have been so privileged to volunteer with PACER over the years and also have her as our National Woman of the Year for our sorority in 2013. Paula was definitely a force to be reckoned with in helping others especially children with disabilities and their families. Personally I was so glad to know her and call her friend. Rest in peace dear lady. Darlene Solberg, Gamma Sigma Sigma Twin Cities alums.

It is with great sadness that I read of Paula's passing. I had the good fortune to meet Paula on a flight to Los Angeles, and was thrilled when she asked me to become involved with PACER as a member of the Advisory Board. What an amazing story and an amazing lady. She will be greatly missed. My sincere condolences to her family and the PACER staff.

I am so sorry to hear about Paula's passing. My deepest condolences go out to her family, friends and her colleagues. I know her absence is already being deeply felt. Even though I had never met her, I started to donate to Pacer a few years back. What impressed and meant a great deal to me was that she would take the time to personalize the thank you letter that I received every month. I never expected it, but I ended up always looking forward to it. It was evident that she cared deeply. Sometimes the smallest details leave the most lasting impact. And she left an innumerable amount of lasting "handprints" and a legacy of authentic service.

May her memory be a blessing.

Paula was simply my super hero! While our organizations worked together for many years, I witnessed Paula's passion and commitment when my son was diagnosed with several disabilities and I turned to Paula for help. Without hesitation, she put him, and me, on a path forward that, even today, works. My tribute to her is on the 21st of May, Cole will graduate with his BA in Data Science with Math and Entrepreneurship minors. All this from a student who many said 'would struggle' to read and write. Paula always knew he would succeed, and with that I say to her I am forever grateful! Rest In Peace, Paula, for a job very well done.

Paula was inspirational in her ability to draw allies to the cause she cared deeply about and assembled an army of Champions for Children. Well done Paula. Our thoughts are with your family in this time of loss.
