“Never Ever” music video and PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center show students they have the power to make a difference

Innovative bullying prevention music video debuts March 6

MINNEAPOLIS:  An innovative music video debuts March 6 with the goal of inspiring students to courageously help kids who are bullied. The new video—starring more than 40 Ohio students—will become part of a nationwide campaign led by PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center.

The video features Keenan West’s original song, “Never Ever,” a celebration of kids who promote kindness and respect and lend a hand to students who are bullied. West is an Ohio artist who focuses on creating music with a positive message. A radio version featuring rapper D Griff, as well as the video version of the song featuring Ohio students, is available for sale on iTunes and other digital download sites: Look for the iTunes links at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Hj_-kcX3q8

Fifty cents from every sale will be donated to PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center to help fund the nonprofit’s free resources available at PACER.org/bullying.  In addition, the video will be included in PACER’s “Find the Courage” nationwide school campaign. The campaign debuts this fall and is designed to educate students on how they can positively influence bullying situations.

“This music video perfectly illustrates the power kids have to take positive action to address bullying,” says Julie Hertzog, director of PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center.

Whip Smart Productions of Ohio produced the video and Dawn Bierschwal directed. “We wanted to give the kids standing on the sidelines the courage to make a difference,” says Bierschwal. “We were incredibly excited to learn that PACER had a program with the very same objectives!”

West and Bierschwal will premiere the video at Sycamore Junior High in Montgomery, Ohio on Tuesday, March 6, at 8:20 a.m. just before it goes live on YouTube.  Watch “The Making of Never Ever” at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0kmTFMxvmvk
