I Care Because

It's part of my "job" as an UPSTANDER and ABC Reader for the Project Cornerstone Program. It would be a marvelous world if there was no bully behavior, but that's not a reality, so I am educating our students on how to resist, react to and refuse bully behavior. I am an "Asset Building Champion" & a "Caring Adult." I am providing students a "common language" that they can use to stand up for themselves & others. We are teaching that each child is valuable, that tolerance of others is required and that sometimes all it takes is ONE person to do the right thing.

I've been bullied just because I'm abit fat, they called me names that shouldnt be mentioned, and it wasn't only verbal bullying they used to hit me real bad too,and the worst part was that even my bestfreinds we're joining in but in an indirect way,and my parent weren't a support at all they'ed be to busy to listen or they will just tell me that it's going to be fine, you have to solve it yourself, but then I got a true best freind and she supported me and she helped me speak up to them and now I'm all better so advise to all stick to your best freinds and never be afraid to speak up your mind cause it wont stop unless you did something about it

I don't want to be silent anymore, I want to stand up and make a change! I have a voice and I want to use it for something that will change the world. If you're ever felling fown or if you ever feel like you're worthles, take a look up in the sky and breathe. I care for you, even if we don't know eachother, I care! Always remeber that I love and care for you

Keronesha, 14, Huntsville, Alabama

i know what it feels like to get bullied iv'e been bullied my whole life and no one seems to care because they think it is funny but it's not i want every one to know that they are beautiful and when some one calls you fat it doesn't make them skinnier and when you get called ugly that doesn't make any one prettier so just keep on being you and don't change for any body if they don't like you for you they don't deserve a friend like you
