My Child Is on a Section 504 Plan
The Discipline is:
suspension from the bus and transportation is not listed on my child’s Section 504 Plan*.
Response:
You have the same obligation to arrange for alternative transportation as the parent of a child without a disability who has been suspended from the bus.
Tip: You may which wish to request a Section 504 team meeting to determine if the Section 504 Plan* is adequate for your child’s needs or if your child requires a Functional Behavioral Analysis (FBA)* and a Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP)*. You also may wish to make a written request for an evaluation for special education to determine if your child is eligible for special education and related services.
